I&B takes serious note of CGTR row - Sakshi Post

DK Aruna, I&B minister for state has taken serious note of the controversy surrounding the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu. She has instructed the committee on Saturday to look into the objectional content in the film amd censor it if required.

She passed an order to take serious action in line with the notification issued by the  Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation. She said, some scenes in the Puri Jagannadh-directed movie insulted people of Telangana. The minister instructed the film director and producer to immediately delete scenes from the movie.

She also raised objection to the film 'Women in Brahminism'. She asked controversial scenes to be removed from the film, failing in which stern action would be initiated, she warned. She said movie has to be entertaining and not make fun of any community or region. DK Aruna said, it's unfortunate that such movies are being made and said the censor board too must do their job responsibly.

It's a known fact that Cameraman tho Rambabu, directed by Puri Jagannadh with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role has drawn a lot of flak from the Telangana activists. They have objected to some scenes and dialogues in the movie that shows Telangana in poor light. The

activists also carried out agitations near all the theatres in the Telangana region. After the news spread, The Telangana film chamber banned the movie from all the theatres in the region. They made it clear that they wouldn't have any kind of objections to screening the movie once the objectionable content is removed from the film.
