Anti-Trafficking Training Manual Released By Telangana Police

Hyderabad: A training manual on 'Victim-Centred Investigations in Trafficking of Persons Related Crimes' was released here today.

To commemorate the 'World Day Against Trafficking in Persons', Telangana Police, in collaboration with city-based NGO Prajwala, released the training manual for police.

Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy, who released the manual, said the Telangana police have been at the forefront in fighting the organised crime of human trafficking.

This manual will be used to train frontline officers equipping them with necessary skills to combat this crime, senior police officials said.

As part of its anti-human trafficking measures, police registered as many as 136 cases till June this year and arrested 202 traffickers and rescued 246 victims including minor boys and girls besides men and women, they said. (PTI)
