Husband kills wife with pestle, three arrested

Khammam: A husband allegedly killed his wife with a pestle at Malkapuram village in Khammam district earlier on Saturday. According to police Balaraju who came home in an inebriated condition, attacked his wife Devamatha (23) when she admonished him for his habitual drinking. He later picked up a pestle and beat his wife with it, causing her immediate death.

Devamatha's family members who arrived there on hearing the news reported to the police that even the mother-in-law and sister-in-law aided Balaraju in killing their daughter. Subsequently, the police took Balaraju and his kin into custody and are investigating the case.
