Hour-long Tornado East Godavari Creates Havoc

Taallarevu: An hour-long tornado emerged on the ground at Shankarapalem in Taallarevu mandal of East Godavari on Sunday created havoc among villagers.Tornados of low intensity are common sight coastal districts, but this time it was very powerful and rose very high into the sky. It lasted for over an hour. Panic-stricken villagers locked themselves indoors until the tornado subsided. Experts say if the tornado of such intensity comes in the sea, it would develop into a storm. Villagers are afraid that this might be a prelude to some natural calamity or disaster.
