Home ministry is preparing a cabinet note, says Shinde - Sakshi Post

There will be no imposition of president's rule in  the state in the wake of protests in parts of the state over decision to form Telangana, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said on Saturday.

Answering queries from reporters, Shinde said there was no question of President's rule in Andhra Pradesh.

He said his ministry was preparing a note to be presented before the cabinet for the creation of separate Telangana.
"The Congress Working Committee had passed a resolution and given direction to the government. Home ministry is preparing a cabinet note. Wait for some time. (It) will be done in due course," Shinde said.

He said a decision had been taken on formation of Telangana. "Now, it has come to the government," he said.

Answering a query, he said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had not offered to resign.

Asked about the possibility of Hyderabad being made a union territory, Shinde said there were two-three options before the government but refused to spell them out.
