Heist plans in Howrah express foiled

Tanguturu: Alert police foiled an attempt to rob the passengers in Howrah Express.

According to the police, on Wednesday, some robbers force-stopped the train after it crossed Tangutur in Prakasam district. They then threatened the passengers and tried to collect their valuables and cash. Even as they were doing this, the police entered the scene and fired rounds. The robbers pelted stones at them and in the melee managed to flee the place.The passengers thanked the police for timely action and rescue act.
