Godavarikhani Congress president ends life

In a shocking incident, city president of the Congress Party in Karimnagar’s Godavarikhani committed suicide as one of her party leader, to whom she had lent money, had not repaid the loan.

The incident occurred on Monday. B Swaroopa (42), who is president of the city Congress Committee, went to the house of party leader Ganapathi. She had lent money to him, but he has been dodging repayment. In a fit of anger, she threatened to consume poison if he did not repay and before anyone could realize, consumed poison.

She was immediately rushed to a hospital, but she died while being treated. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
