Ex-MP complains to Governor about threatening calls

Former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav met Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan on Saturday.

Speaking soon after the meet, Anjan Kumar said that he has been getting threatening calls for the last 15 days. “They are threatening to kill my family members too. I took it to the notice of the Police Commissioner, but to no avail. I met the Governor and complained him about the matter,” said Anjan Kumar.

A case was registered with Hussaini Alam police following ex-MP's complaint on August 31.

The Hussaini Alam police approached Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Nampally and the court asked the police to register a case on September 5.

With this, the police registered a case under section 507 of the IPC.
