‘Defiant’ Kiran Reddy to face High Command

‘Defiant’ Kiran Reddy to face High Command - Sakshi Post

The Congress High Command has summoned Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana to New Delhi to participate in the Andhra Pradesh's Congress Coordination Committee.

Sources said that Kiran Kumar Reddy was asked to be available in the national capital on Friday. While the PCC chief is likely to reach the national capital tomorrow, the CM is expected to fly to New Delhi on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister Damaodara Rajanarasimha is already in Delhi.
According to the talk in the Congress circles, Congress High Command may take them into confidence to discuss many issues like all-party meeting, political situation in the state and the pros and cons of placing Telangana bill in the state Assembly. The meeting is tentatively slated on Friday evening in Congress party war room, where Digvijaya Singh would likely preside over the meeting and union minister Chiranjeevi may be one among other leaders to take part in the meeting.
The CM's visit to Delhi attained significance in the wake of the reports that Kiran Reddy would be replaced. Even if the reports were hypothetical, the meeting of the Chief Minister with the high command, after his open defiance on it, garners interest in political circles.
