Court permits 3-day custody of Rupesh Kumar for investigation

Hyderabad: VII Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Rajendranagar in Hyderabad on Tuesday issued orders giving permission to Central Crime Station (CCS) police of Madhapur for a 3-day custody of Rupesh Kumar who brutally killed her wife Cynthia and chopped her body into pieces on July 3. After the interrogation, the accused should be produced in the court on Saturday, the court ordered.
The Court also passed orders for administering the DNA test on Sania, the 8 year-old daughter of Rupesh Kumar and the deceased Cynthia to confirm her biological parents. Madhapur CCS police will interrogate Rupesh on 13, 14 and 15 of this month and will produce him in the court at 10.30am on July 16.
The judge also directed that the matter of who Sania should stay with can be finalised at Rangareddy family court. Police will grill Rupesh to find the actual reason behind the murder of Cynthia. They are also trying to find out if there is any other reasons behind the killing of Cynthia other than the reason that Rupesh told police in the primary investigation.
Police will collect blood samples for DNA test of Sania who will be produced in Child and Women Care Centre on July 15. Presently Sania is being taken care of by Child Welfare Commission.
Meanwhile, Cyberabad West Zone CP Naveen Chand said they were very serious about this case and had collected all the evidences and protected them with the help of Forensic Science officials. He added they will go forward in Cynthia’s case which is linked to African Embassy, according to the court orders.
