Cops undertake cordon and search operations in Nizamabad

The Nizamabad police undertook cordon and search operations in several parts of the district on Friday morning. They swooped down on some villages in Balkonda and Tadwai mandal and conducted house to house searches.

In Tadwai mandal's Kondapur village, two persons, who were moving suspiciously, were taken into custody. A gun and 20 cartridges were recovered from them. In SRSP Colony of Balkonda mandal, as many as 10 SIs, three CIs and 100 constables were deployed for cordon and search operations. 15 vehicles without valid papers were recovered from the colony.
