Congress High Command's U-turn on Telangana? - Sakshi Post

The Congress High Command had raised the hopes of many when it held a core committee meet on Telangana. This move was to create an impression that the Congress was serious about solving the contentious issue. However, the scene seems to be something entirely different now. Looks like the High Command is stepping back on its stand.

According to reliable sources, Telangana issue will be discussed again in the Core Committee Meeting scheduled to be held this evening. Not only that, before the CWC meeting Centre would call for an all-party meet to get their views on the issue, sources say.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayna presented their roadmaps before the core Committee members last week. And the Core Committee left the decision to CWC. The CWC meet is likely to  be held by the end of this month. With all these developments, today's core committee meeting assumes significance.

The state Cabinet too is expected to hold a meet in the evening.
