Chandrababu’s Comments On Boat Tragedy Shock Bhuma Akhilapriya

Bhuma Akhilapriya - Sakshi Post

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's latest comments on the Krishna river boat capsize tragedy have come as a shock to Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhilapriya.

Commenting on the boat capsize tragedy that claimed 22 lives, Chandrababu Naidu said that the mishap occurred because of the negligence and failure of the Government departments. He also said that the minister should own up responsibility for the tragedy.

What is shocking is Chandrababu Naidu made these comments in the presence of other ministers and officials. Political analysts opine that Chandrababu Naidu has set in motion a plan to remove Akhilapriya from the Cabinet.

The TDP has started a blame game on the boat tragedy. The Government has not initiated any corrective measures so far. Also, it has not taken any action against the ministers, whose proxies are running such unauthorised boats. It appears that Chandrababu is trying to divert the issue. It may be recalled that he had not taken any action against anyone in the stampede during Godavari Pushkarams, which claimed 29 lives.

Chandrababu's latest comments have come as a shock to Akhilapriya and her followers. They feel that the party, which coerced them to leave YSRCP, is now ignoring them. None of the assurances given at the time of defection have been fulfilled. They feel Akhilapriya has not been given an important ministry.

Meanwhile, there are complaints galore against Akhilapriya. She is being criticised for ignoring senior leaders. Also, there is a negative feedback about her performance.
