Balakrishna's kidnap: Chandrababu suspended

The victim, identified as B Balakrishna Rao, owned 2400 sq yds of land in ECIL area valued at around Rs 30 crore. However, two land-grabbers eyed this land and one of the groups, led by one Madhav, kidnapped Balakrishna Rao on February 25 . They threatened him and then released him a day after.

Based on a complaint by Balakrishna's watchman, the police arrested 12 persons involved in the crime. According to DCP Ramachandra Reddy, Neredmet CI Chandrababu indirectly helped the kidnappers. Investigations revealed that the whole kidnap drama was enacted with the full knowledge of Chandrababu. Hence, Cyberabad Police Commissioner CV Anand suspended Chandrababu.
