Chandrababu left the spot as Pushkaram tragedy unfolded: SP

Rajahmundry: In a shocking revelation, a cop who was posted at the main Pushkar ghat at Rajahmundry when the stampede took place told the media here that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was present at the Pushkaram ghat when the tragedy struck. 

Rajahmundry Superintendent of police G Vijay Kumar told the media that when he informed the Chief Minister, the latter asked him to confirm the number of death. 

Later he told the officials to take the necessary action and left the spot hurriedly, the top cop said.

When the Chief Minister left the death toll was 11, the cop added.
