Centre clears IAS Srilakshmi’s prosecution

The Central Government on Thursday granted orders for prosecution of IAS officer Srilakshmi. She was named as sixth accused in the OMC mines case.

The Centre gave its nod for prosecution of Srilakshmi under Acts of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Procedure Code (PC). The Union Cabinet which met in Delhi today took a decision to this effect. The IAS officer was alleged to have committed irregularities while allocating mines to OMC. The CBI court had already taken up hearing on the charges.
