Cash-for-Vote Accused Mathaiah Emerges in New Avatar - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Jerusalem Mathaiah, an accussed in the sensational cash-for-vote case  who had gone absconding after the incident made an appearance at a press conference on Tuesday. Mathaiah was taking shelter in Andhra Pradesh ever since the Telugu Desam MLA  Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed in the cash-for-vote scam on May 31. While Revanth was charged with bribing the nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson to lure him to vote for TDP nominee in the legislative council elections, Mathaiah was accused of striking the deal. The Anti-Corruption Bureau marked him as Accused-4 in the case. Now he appears in a different avatar; just like most people who take to politics after getting caught in some criminal case. He is the media coordinator of Samajwadi Party. In his new position, Mathaiah addressed the press and stated that his party would contest in all 150 division in the upcoming GHMC elections. “We will definitely win over 100 seats,” he claimed.The press meet was held at a house in 5th ward at Jyothi Colony of Cantonment Board. AS Srinivas was elected as president of the party and Lion C Francis as working president.
