60 Houses Gutted Near Exhibition Ground 

Hyderabad: At least 60 huts were gutted to ashes in a major fire accident at Nampally on Friday morning. The huts in front of Ajanta Gate of Exhibition Ground were completely razed to ashes by the time the fire engines tried to put out the flames.

The residents of the huts, all laborers making a living out of daily wages, lost everything in the fire. Clothes, cash and even gold ornaments also were reduced to ashes.

Either electric short circuit or some mischief could be the reason for the fire. The police are investigating.
