Autowalas To Strike On Saturday Against Hiked Third-Party Insurance Charges

Hyderabad: Demanding the withdrawal of enhanced third-party insurance fees the auto drivers in Telangana including city are set to go off the roads on April 8, Saturday.

The Telangana State Auto Drivers Union JAC met B. Venkatesham at AITUC office on Wednesday and decided to observe one-day strike under his leadership. They also alleged that the government has indiscriminately increased the third-party insurance fee and demanded its withdrawal immediately.

"The auto drivers will take up protest across the state on April 8," a JAC leader said.
