Telangana Minister's son accused of assault

Hyderabad: Police on Saturday registered a case of assault against Sai Kiran, the son of Telangana minister for commercial taxes T Srinivas Yadav, and six others.

Nobody has been arrested yet. According to the complaint filed by Abhinav Mahender (27) with the Marredpally police here, Sai Kiran and others beat him up a few days ago. Abhinav is married to Bhuvana whose father Mahendernath Reddy was against the marriage, the complaint says.

Two men approached Abhinav a few days ago saying that Reddy had sent them and they wanted to settle the issue, and took him to the minister's house. The complaint says that Sai Kiran and others beat him up. We are investigating it, said ACP B Tirupathi Rao.
