AP Govt's arguments over in SC on NEET-2013

The State Government has completed its arguments over National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-2013) in the Supreme Court.
The State Government challenged the decision of the medical Council of India (MCI) for common test for medical education. The Govt requested the Supreme Court for holding a separate entrance exam for medical education as against the Medical Council of India's decision to hold common entrance throughout the country. The Government also sought to make amendment to the Article 371(D) of the Constitution to this effect. The advocates of the Government have finished their arguments.
The NEET-2013 would be conducted as per the directives of the Supreme Court, said Dr I V Rao, Vice-Chancellor, NTR Health University said on Tuesday. He said EAMCET would also be conducted along with NEET this year, Rao said.
