YSRCP Maiden Budget Will Fulfill Aspirations Of People: Dharmana Prasada Rao

YSRCP MLA Dharmana Prasada Rao - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: The first budget presented by the YSRCP government is in tune with aspirations of people as evidenced by needs of the people and corresponding allocations made, YSRCP senior leader Dharmana Prasada Rao has said.

Speaking during the discussion on budget in the Assembly on Monday, he said the allocations made for various sectors and schemes demonstrate that welfare would remain the mainstay of the YSRCP government following in the footsteps of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. While previous governments completely de-linked people's aspirations and funds earmarked, YSRCP government budget laid emphasis on making funds available for all the promises made in the manifesto.

Lavishing praise on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for conceiving Amma Vodi initiative, he said the scheme had the potential to reverse the literacy levels in the State, which now stood at 31st place in the country. Schemes for farmers such as Rythu Bharosa, insurance for farmers, nine hour power supply to farmers would bail the farming community out from their crises, he added.

Taking swipe at TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, he said that YSRCP government wouldn't differentiate people based on their political affiliation but would fulfill the promise of housing for all genuine beneficiaries.

"But TDP did not do it this way. Their schemes only benefitted those who supported their party. But one should know that politics are only for elections. After elections people should not be treated on party lines," he said lashing out at TDP.
