'Ammoru Baba' Gopi allegedly killed by followers

Gopi, who described himself as 'Male Ammoru' was found dead at Kattivaram in Srikakulam District in the wee hours on Thursday.

Gopi and his friend Krishna were found in a pool of blood and the residents of that village rushed them to hospital at Sompeta.

However, the doctors declared the fake baba was brought dead and Krishna's condition was critical.
The residents of that village alleged that 'the baba's' personal followers were behind his killing.

It may be recalled here that Gopi once fooled many people by saying he was 'pregnant' and would deliver 'Goddess Durga' on November 30.

Many questioned him that being a male how can he be pregnant and deliver child?. Many have believed him and offered pujas and gifts. He built a hut and called it his ashram.

But media proved him to be a 'fake baba'. Later, the police arrested him and demolished his hut. Tension prevailed in the area when one of Gopi's associates tried to commit suicide, demanding police to release him.
