8 tons of vegetables offered to Vijayawada Durga Devi

Vijayawada: Devotees offered eight tons of vegetables to Goddess Durga at Shakambari festival which commenced here on Wednesday. As a custom, the Goddess is decorated with vegetables during the fest. 

Besides the Goddess, the temple is also decorated with vegetables. The festival will come to an end on Friday.

During these three days of the festival, the temple would be open for Durga Devi Darshan from 4 am to 11pm.
