Can you ride a bike without holding handlebars? Probably, most of the youth will raise their hands and say they will do. But can you ride it for 35 kilometers?.

To the surprise of many, even to bike racers, a 72-year-old man can ride a bike without holding hands for 35 km in 23 minutes. Anand Reddy, a resident of Pulivendula, who broke earlier record of 25 km of travel without holding the handle bars.
Do you know who inspired him?
He learnt to ride a bike in 2002. But he never dared riding the bike without holding hands until he participated in the 3,112-km, 230-day padayatra of YS Sharmila. During the padayatra, he tried holing the party flags in his two hands and rode the bike. The next attempt was made when YS Jagan was released from jail.
Then he began thinking of driving for longer distances without holding the handle. Now, he is a world record established on his name.
