14-day-old girl child smashed to death

In chilling case that is testimony to the fact that female infanticide is very much alive in the country, a 14-day-old girl child was brutally murdered after being thrown at a stone.

The victim,  was from Guntur district, Nadendla mandal and was killed by her father, as the latter was angry with the birth of a girl in his family.
The police have registered a case and have taken the erring father into custody.
