Watch: Chennai Metro’s Foot-Operated Lift System To Beat COVID-19

Chennai: If ever anyone believes that ‘crisis brings the best out of you’, here is some proof. Chennai Metro, which like elsewhere in the country has suspended all its services due to Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, has come up with a novel upgrade to its lift system. To check the spread of the virus effectively, it developed foot-operated lift system for contactless functioning. Currently testing it out, the Chennai Metro plans to introduce in all its metro stations once the operations resume.
