TRS leader Gutta Sukendar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Nalgonda: The ruling TRS nominated former MP from Nalgonda Gutta Sukendar Reddy as its nominee for the lone MLC seat under MLA quota which is up for grabs. Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao made an announcement to this effect on Saturday.

Reddy called on CM KCR at Pragati Bhavan to thank the former for according him the honour. With Reddy in fray, if he wins, Nalgonda will now have another MLC in its kitty. Nethi Vidyasagar Rao, who is currently serving as Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, Tera Chinnappa Reddy and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy were elected on TRS tickets. Political observers believe that Sukendar Reddy's win in upcoming elections is foregone conclusion, given the strength TRS commands in the current Legislative Assembly.

The Election of Commission of India has already announced that polls will be held for one and three MLC seats that have been vacant in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively on August 26.
