Telangana Delegation Rolls Out Red Carpet for French Companies

KTR met with the top management team of Servier on the sidelines of Ambition India Business meet in Paris. Servier Head- Open Innovation & Scientific affairs Dr. Olivier Nosjean, Head- Chemistry Manufacturing & Control, R&D VP Mr. Patrick Genissel, MD International Operations of South Asia & Australia Mr. Bernard Parrin were present in the meeting.

Servier is the 2nd largest pharmaceutical Group in France which has a presence in 150 Countries with €4.7 billion euros in revenue. 

During the meeting, Minister KTR gave them an overview of Telangana's robust Life Sciences and Pharma ecosystem. He explained to them about various initiatives of Telangana government like Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) which facilitate industry, academia collaboration. 

Minister KTR welcomed them to participate in the 2022 BioAsia event and explore potential collaboration avenues.

Later during the day, Minister KTR met with Jean Paul Alary, CEO SAFRAN Aircraft Engines and H.E Alexandre Ziegl, Senior EVP, International & Public Affairs, and former Ambassador of France to India, at Safran headquarters in Paris. 

Safran Electrical & Power, part of the French multinational aircraft & rocket engine, aerospace component, defence and security company, recently expanded its aircraft engines facility in Hyderabad.

In the meeting, Minister discussed about the potential for setting up dedicated skill development initiative for Aerospace and Defence sector in Telangana

Air Attaché at the Indian Embassy in France, Air Commodore Hilal Ahmad, was also present in the meeting.

Telangana delegation headed by Minister KTR met with Philippe Orliange, Director Asia and Middle East, French Development Agency on the sidelines of the Ambition India event in Paris.

The French Development Agency (AFD) group finances, supports and accelerates transitions towards a more just and sustainable world. AFD teams are involved in more than 4,000 projects in overseas territories and 115 countries.

Later, Minister KTR held a meeting with Thales Group EVP Mr. Mark Darmon, India CEO Mr. Ashish Saraf.

Thales is a major French Multinational company which has a rich history of over a century. The company operates in five verticals- Digital Identity & Security, Defence & Security, Aerospace, Space & Transport. Thales has operations in five continents & employs over 80,000 people.

Minister KTR discussed Telangana's forays into several emerging technologies and the recent launch of the Medicine from Sky project in collaboration with WEF.

Telangana delegation led by Minister KTR held a meeting with Keolis CEO Mr. Bernard Tabary.

Keolis is one of the world leaders in shared mobility. Keolis Hyderabad, a subsidiary of Keolis Group, is the Operations & Maintenance partner for Hyderabad Metro. Keolis operates public transport networks on behalf of 300 Organizing Authorities and is present in 16 countries and on 5 continents. 

The world leader in automatic metro and tramways, the Group is also No. 1 in medical transport and No. 1 in Global parking contracts in France. Each year, more than 3 billion travelers use their shared mobility services.

Later during the day, Minister KTR met Schneider Electric Executive Vice-Président International Operations Mr. Luc Remont. 

Schneider Electric is a leading French multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions. The company has operations in over 100 countries and employs 135,000+ people. Schneider has a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. A subsidiary company AVEVA - which is into software development also has a major presence in Hyderabad

The meetings with the French industrialists and CEOs were fruitful. Minister invited them to visit Telangana and look into the investment opportunities in the State. 

Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Aerospace & Defence Director Praveen, Director Digital Media Dileep Konatham were present in the meetings.
