Hyderabad: MMTS Season Tickets Validity Extended

 - Sakshi Post

The validity of passengers' season tickets is being extended by Hyderabad MMTS.

MMTS Train Tickets: The Local Railways have given a sweet treat to the people of Hyderabad on the eagerly anticipated MMTS services. The Railways have repaired the MMTS trains that had been stranded for 15 months due to the Corona epidemic.

The lockdown has been lifted across Telangana, and MMTS trains will run starting today. Corona cases are decreasing, so the lockdown has been lifted. South Central Railway officials, on the other hand, announced on Tuesday that old season tickets purchased before March 23 last year would be revalidated.

Those who purchased seasonal tickets before March 23, 2020, can recover the number of days they lost prior to the current date by using the same ticket now instead of purchasing a new seasonal ticket. For the time being, the old seasonal tickets are still valid, so passengers can use the unused days on the same ticket. To renew their tickets, they are instructed to contact officials at MMTS ticket centres.

In the wake of infection, SCR officials have given MMTS train passengers access to cashless tickets as far as possible. The railway authorities have decided to offer a 3% bonus to those who use the MMTS ticket centres' automatic ticket vending machines, and a 5% bonus to those who use the R-wallet for tickets on the Unreserved System (UTS) mobile app.

The General Manager of Central Railway, speaking on the occasion, said that MMTS train customers should take advantage of seasonal ticket extensions and cashless ticketing services. He advised passengers to purchase MMTS tickets digitally to avoid long lines at traditional ticket counters and to reduce physical contact while doing so.
