Uttar Pradesh: Schools Reopen

Schools in Uttar Pradesh, including Anupshahr in Bulandshahr district, have resumed classes today. Schools in Anupshahr were closed from November 3–6 due to the grand Lakkhi Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan Mela. Parents and students can expect normal schedules from today.

Bihar: Schools Open Today

Schools in Bihar are reopening today after the first phase of the assembly elections. However, schools are expected to close again on November 11 for the second phase of elections.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha: Weather-Dependent Closures

Most schools affected by Cyclone Montha have reopened. Both government and private institutions are conducting regular classes. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across southern and northeastern states until November 9, along with thunderstorms and strong winds.

• Telangana: Most schools have reopened, though some districts may still observe closures depending on local weather conditions. Residents are advised to remain alert for lightning, gusty winds (30–40 kmph), and localized flooding.
• Rayalaseema (Andhra Pradesh) & South Interior Karnataka: Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms expected on November 6–7.
• Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Uttar Pradesh: Normal Schedule
• Schools in these northern states, including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, have resumed regular classes following Guru Nanak Jayanti holidays. All government, private, and aided schools are operational.
