Miscreants try to electrocute YSRCP leader

A YSRCP leader from Nellore’s Sangam had a providential escape when some miscreants, alleged to be his political rivals, tried to electrocute him while he was asleep.

The incident, which happened on Wednesday’s wee hours, has created quite a sensation locally.
Seenayya, a YSRCP leader was sleeping on the concrete roof of his home due to hot summer. His wife Kusuma, daughters Radhika and Mallika were also with him. In the dead of the night, miscreants identified as Ravindra, Sekhar and Dayasagar tried to join some electric wires and tried to electrocute him. As the sparks flew, Seenayya was jolted out of his sleep, but suffered injuries. On seeing Seenaiah waking up, the miscreants fled from the place.
The police have reached the spot and began investigations. Ravindra, Sekhar and Dayasagar already have a case booked against them for attacking and injuring Seenayya. Seenayya alleged that the miscreants were backed by local TDP leaders.
