Orphan Girl Forced To Work With Threat To Be Made A Prostitute

New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Women has rescued an Assamese Orphan from Delhi recently. Information of the girl was given to the DCW and the police by an unknown person. The girl was held as a captive in a posh house in North West Delhi's Ashok Vihar area.

Getting into the details, the minor was working in this house in adverse conditions and was not given a proper pay for it as well. The complainant had given a number of an uncle of he girl from Assam for correspondence.

The Girl lost her father 6 years back and her mother two years ago. She lived in Tejpur in Assam, and had been leured into this job by a boy who lived in the same village. She was also offered a high salary.

She had gone to Delhi with the boy and there she was sold to an agent, who took her to this house to work on a monthly salary of Rs 10,000. When she started to not like the place she was in and protested it, she was threthened. She was not getting a salary for some time as well. They told her if she made too much noise they would push her into prostitution.

Afraid of this she quietly worked in the bad conditions. She was then Rescued by the DCW
