Fake Swiggy Go Customer Executive Dupes Bangalore Woman Of Rs 95,000 - Sakshi Post

A woman lost Rs. 95,000 after entering her Bank account details and UPI pin details in a link that was sent by a fake Swiggy Go customer care executive.

Aparna Thakkar Suri (47) who stays in Indiranagar of Bengaluru city, searched google for the customer care number for Swiggy Go and dialed a wrong number which was attended by a person who pretended to be a customer care executive. He persuaded her to enter the UPI pin and bank details by clicking on the link sent by him, following which Rs. 95,000 from the woman account got debited.

According to the reports, Aparna had placed an order on Swiggy from her son's number and gave an incorrect address; the delivery boy was unable to track the address.

Meanwhile, Aparna removes his son's sim from her phone and placed her sim in the phone and called the customer executive, on receiving the call from a different number, the customer care executive told her she had not placed any order. Confused with all this she googled Swiggy Go’s customer care number, got a wrong number, entered the UPI pin and bank details by clicking on the link sent by the fake customer care executive.

Aparna Thakkar Sur who realised that Rs.95,000 got debited from the account, filed the police complaint and police started their inquiry into the case.

Responding to the Incident Swiggy management officials asks people to stay alert and not to trust any fake websites duping themselves as Swiggy customer service support. They even made it clear that Swiggy never requests its users to share their personal bank details.
