NEW DELHI: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Kalvakuntla  Kavitha has denied filing any plea seeking urgent hearing on the petition filed challenging the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against her in connection with her alleged involvement in the Delhi Excise Policy case.

Kavitha  tweeted the same on her micro-blogging account that she had not made any such requests to the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing on her petition. "I have made no early appeal before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. The only which is pending will be heard on 24th March, " she wrote.

It has been clarified that Kavitha's petition will be heard as per schedule on the 24th of this month.

Kavitha on Thursday had skipped ED summons and written to them that they should wait for the outcome of her plea pending before the Supreme Court challenging the summons and seeking protection from arrest. The apex court on Wednesday agreed to hear the plea on March 24.

Meanwhile, Kavitha has been asked to appear on March 20, before the ED for questioning.
