Falaknuma Express Train Blaze Probe : Forensic Team Collects Evidence

 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: A day after seven coaches of the Falaknuma Express train caught fire near Nalgonda district, a team of forensic experts collected evidence from the site of the mishap on Saturday. The authorities said they will know the cause of the ‘fire accident’ only after receiving the Forensic Science Laboratory report.

Meanwhile, the Government Railway Police have filed a case and investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to reports, the Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express caught fire near Pagidipalli railway station around 11.30 am on Friday. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The fire which first broke out in S4 bogie soon spread to S5 and S6 bogies due to suspected short circuit in the bathroom of the S4 bogie. An alert passenger pulled the alarm chain and a major tragedy was averted in time.
