Zepto HR Head Resigns, CEO Aadit Palicha Takes Over HR Duties
Martin Dinesh Gomez, the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at Zepto, has resigned from his position and will be leaving the quick commerce startup soon, sources familiar with the matter told Moneycontrol. Gomez, who joined Zepto less than a year ago, previously spent over 11 years at Amazon, bringing extensive e-commerce expertise to the role.
In the wake of Gomez's departure, Zepto's CEO, Aadit Palicha, is taking over some of his responsibilities, while Chandan Mendiratta, who joined the company in January 2024, will take charge of the remaining human resource functions. Mendiratta, formerly the Chief Brand Officer, has also been appointed as the Chief Culture Officer at Zepto.
Zepto has not responded to requests for official comment on the matter.
Gomez’s resignation adds to a series of high-profile executive exits at Zepto. Earlier in June, Manik Oberoi, the former VP of Growth and Retention, left the company, followed by the departure of Viral Jhaveri, the ex-Chief Business Officer and Chief Growth Officer. Ashish Shah, the former Senior Vice President of Finance, also left the company earlier this year.
These exits reflect the ongoing leadership changes at Zepto, which continues to navigate challenges in the competitive quick commerce space.
