 - Sakshi Post

As the competition between different platforms increase, Netflix in a bid to compete with them, is now changing its plans. Netflix India has lowered its subscription fees across the board in an effort to grow its user base. There has been fierce competition from platforms like Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime, and many other Indian subscription video-on-demand providers.

Netflix has now dropped the price of its popular mobile plan from Rs 199 to Rs 149 per month. The basic plan is has been reduced from Rs 499 per month to Rs 199 per month, the standard plan is now Rs 499 per month instead of Rs 649 per month, and the premium plan that was initially Rs 799 per month is now Rs 649 per month.

There was a time when Netflix was probably the only one in the market, but now it has changed. There are many platforms. Disney+Hotstar provides a yearly subscription at Rs 1499. Amazon Prime has a monthly plan that starts at Rs 129/month.

Many films and series are lined up in the Netflix release pipeline. These are the kind of shows that a large audience would like to watch. That is the kind of line-up the platform has planned for the coming year. This year in November, we had Indian originals including Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka and Meenakshi Sundareshwar.
