Sharing Fake News on CM KCR on Social Media Lands Hyderabad Youth in Trouble

The police arrested three people for sharing fake news on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

As per police, B. Shekhar (36) a farmer from Nalgonda district, a juvenile (16), and an intermediate student met on the social media platform WhatsApp group named "Teenmar Malllana Fans" in March. They circulated fake news about Chief Minister in the WhatsApp group and the news was widely shared on Social media.

KVM Prasad, ACP (Cybercrime) said, “The boy had received fake news about Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and later forwarded it to Shekar who shared it on social media." Based on a complaint, the Cybercrime police (Hyderabad) has booked a case and started an investigation. On Saturday, two people were arrested by the Hyderabad Police.
