Formula E Race: KTR's Open Letter to CM Revanth Reddy, Challenges Debate in Assembly

Kalvakuntla Tarakarama Rao, the Working President of the BRS, has written an open letter to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, challenging him to initiate a discussion in the State Legislative Assembly on the Formula E race issue, if he has the courage.
"I challenge CM Revanth Reddy to hold a discussion in the ongoing Telangana Legislative Assembly session on the Formula E Race (Hyderabad E-Prix) Why discuss this matter for 1 and half hours in Cabinet Meeting and plant silly media leaks? Instead of discussing within confines of four walls, it is better to discuss the subject in front of 4 crore Telangana people in the Legislative Assembly People of Telangana have a right to know the truth, hence I demand to discuss this issue in Assembly. As the session is currently functioning let us put all the facts of the event in front of the House & the people of Telangana."

"In the Formula E race matter, your government has been making numerous baseless allegations against the previous BRS government, particularly against me, for several months. News reports suggest that a discussion on the matter took place for over an hour in a Cabinet meeting held under your leadership this week. Instead of discussing this behind closed doors, I believe it should be debated in the State Legislative Assembly, where the four crore people of Telangana can see for themselves what the facts are."
"The previous government entered into an agreement with the Formula E race organizers with the good intention of bringing benefits to Telangana and Hyderabad. According to a report by the Nelson company, the race brought a profit of approximately ₹700 crore to the state's economy. While the race was scheduled to be held again in 2024, as soon as your government took over, it unilaterally cancelled the event. Since then..."
"As part of a political vendetta, your Congress government has been spreading numerous falsehoods about the race through the media, attempting to create the impression that something wrong happened. The entire Formula E race agreement was transparent, and payments to the organizers were made in a transparent manner, as I have previously explained in detail. Despite this, your government continues its smear campaign.""The people of Telangana have the right to know the truth. Therefore, I demand that you bring this matter to the Legislative Assembly for a discussion. A detailed discussion in the Assembly will reveal the truth," the letter concludes.
