Facebook Friendship Killed Chennai VET Student?
Chennai: A Veterinary student was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Orathanadu in Tamil Nadu, on Monday morning.Police took her husband into custody for questioning after they found lying in the same room where she was found dead.
Getting into the details Indumathi (20) a third-year veterinary student was a resident of Balavadi village in Erode district. She was studying in the Government Veterinary College nearby. She developed friendship with a man named Sathish through Facebook. Sathish was working as an electrician in Pudukottai at Sivagangai district. Soon their friendship turned into love and fearing her parents wouldnt approve of their marriage, she left home last year and got married to him in a registrar office.
They both started living together in a rented house in Orathnadu. On Monday morning when they didn't open the door, the neighbours suspected something was amiss. When they opened the door, they saw Indumathi hanging to the ceiling fan and were shocked to see Sathish lying next to her in an inebriated state.
They called the Orathnadu police who sent the body for post mortem to Thanjai Government hospital. They took Sathish into custody and are questioning him whether it was a suicide and as to what happened on the intervening Sunday night.
