Ranga Reddy Govt Officer Held For Taking Bribe of Rs 8 Lakh

Hyderabad: A villager revenue officer M. Antaiah of Kondurgu mandal in Ranga Reddy district was arrested on Wednesday for taking bribe of Rs eight lakh. The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths is also looking into the role of Keshampet tahsildar V. Lavanya into the case.
According to ACB sleuths in a leading daily, Antaiah worked with Lavanya. It is alleged that Lavanya had demanded Rs eight lakh bribe from one Mamidipally Bhaskar to update the online record of a land.
In the first installment, Rs four lakh bribe was collected through the tahsildar's office. In the eight lakh, Rs five lakh was to be taken by Lavanya, rest were to be with Antaiah.
Reportedly, Lavanya's husband is an GHMC officer. Later, raiding her home, sleuths found Rs 90 lakh in cash and 400 grams gold.
