As Virat Kohli Meets Queen, Tweeple Asks Him To Get Back Kohinoor
Hyderabad: Ahead of the start of ICC Men's World Cup 2019, India team captain Virat Kohli met Queen Elizabeth II at the iconic Buckingham Palace in London along with other captains.
Kohli will lead the India team for the first time in the 50-over ICC showpiece event. The Royal Family tweeted out a picture where the Queen can be seen looking at Kohli.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) followed suit and brought out another picture.
While some tweeted saying that it was a great moment for India, others could not help but ask a question that most Indians have on their mind. No, we are not kidding. Have a look:
The World Cup 2019 will be played in the round-robin format. This implies that the team plays each of the other teams during the league stage and the top four would advance to the knockouts.
Skipper Kohli said that the 2019 World Cup will be the most challenging because of the format and the team has to adapt to it. He hailed India's spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal by terming them the pillars of India's bowling department.
