Telangana Gets New Intel Chief, CMO New Chief Secretary

Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer V Sheshadri has been appointed as the Chief Secretary to the chief minister's office (CMO) while senior IPS officer and additional director general B Shivadhar Reddy is the new head of the Intelligence department of Telangana.  

Sheshadri will head the administration in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO). He has reviously served as a secretary in the general administration department (GAD).  

Shivadhar Reddy has briefly served as the first intelligence chief of Telangana. The former chief minister KCR had picked him to head the intelligence department after the formation of Telangana state. The 1994 batch IPS officer has been reappointed following the change of guard in state.

The appointments came hours after Revanth Reddy was sworn-in as the new chief minister of Telangana. It is being speculated that the Congress government is planning for a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the coming days.
