Bandla Ganesh’s Driver Arrested Over Wife's Suicide 

A fight over something as mundane as chutney has resulted in a suicide. The incident came to light in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills. Ramana, who hails from the Sujatha Nagar Mandal of Kothagudem district, and Banotha Chandana from Yerrupalem of Khammam district, are a married couple. Ramana works as a driver for noted film producer Bandla Ganesh. Chandana works in a Jewellery shop. Both were staying at Road No 2 in Indira Nagar at Banjara Hills.

On Sunday night, Ramana had a tiff with his wife over too much chutney while having supper. On Monday, she made several video calls to him when he was out at work. He didn't respond to any of her calls. She fought with him over a call when he ultimately responded to her persistent attempts. She told him that she would die by suicide. This is when Ramana got worried. 

Ramana called his landlord and asked him to check on his house. By the time the owner went inside the house with the help of neighbours, Chandana was in an unconscious stage, having hung herself to the ceiling. She had attempted suicide. The police have since registered a case and taken Ramana into custody. Chandana's family, too, have named Ramana in their complaint.
