Vishwak Sen is known for trying out different genres. He is back with Gaami. For those who are unversed, Gaami was started seven years ago but due to some reasons, it could be released only today. Let’s check out the review:

Plot: Shankar (Vishwak Sen) is forcibly ousted from Aghora because of a curse he has been suffering from. When he touches another human, his skin turns pale, he becomes bloodless and experiences a blackout. He decided to go to the Himalayas to get hold of a medicine for his condition. Jahnavi (Chandini Chowdary) joins him despite the risks involved in the quest. What happens to Shankar? How will he get cured from his health condition?

Performances:

Vishwak Sen maintains his Aghora appearance from the beginning to the end. He has less dialogue and manages the movie with his facial expressions. Chandini Chowdary, Ramya Pasupuleti, Mohammad Samad and the rest of the crew deliver neat performances.

Plus Points:

Vishwak Sen's performance

Excellent visuals

Background score by Naresh Kumaran

Storyline written by director Vidyadhar Kagita.

Minus Points:

Some portions are never-ending

The sluggish first half

Analysis:

Vishwak Sen donned the avatar of an Aghora while shooting for Gaami. In one instance, he was genuinely mistaken for a true Aghora by onlookers. The film was shot in Varanasi, Ladakh, etc.

Gaami is a new-age film by all standards. If you are in Hyderabad, please do watch it on the PCX screen to get the maximum cinematic experience. The dialogues may not offer the ultimate experience because of the slow pace of their delivery.

Two separate tracks are there in the film aside from the one involving Vishwak Sen and Chandini. The two tracks are disturbing because of how they deal with torture, etc.

Verdict: Gaami is a unique endeavor. It’s worth watching.
