Telangana Polls: Two-day Holiday Declared for Hyderabad Schools, Colleges

Hyderabad: As assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Telangana on November 30, the Hyderabad administration on Tuesday announced that the educational institutions will remain closed on November 29 and 30 to ensure smooth conduct of polls in the state capital.

Taking to X, the Collector of Hyderabad Anudeep Durishetty said all educational institutions will remain closed on November 29 and 30, 2023. He added that the educational activities will resume on Dec 1, 2023. 

“In view of the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023, all educational institutions in Hyderabad district will remain closed on 29th and 30th Nov 2023. Regular activities resume on December 1 2023,” Hyderabad Collector tweeted on Tuesday. 

The high-voltage election campaign ends at 5 pm today. A three-cornered fight is expected as the state goes to polls on Thursday. The counting of votes in Telangana, along with Mizoram,  Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, will be held on December 3, 2023 (Sunday).
