New Delhi: A delegation of Telangana Congress met with the Election Commission (EC) officials in the national capital on Wednesday to complain that certain IAS officers and IPS officers are working for the ruling BRS party.

Lately, the state Congress unit has been raising the neutrality of the government officials. The party has also made a list of officials drawing from various Telangana government departments and asked its cadre to monitor their activities after learning that they were showing partiality to the ruling BRS party during elections.

In its representation, the Telangana Congress leaders urged the Election Commission to remove the public officials who were reportedly working for the ruling BRS government and monitoring the activities of the Opposition Congress at the behest of the state government.

Speaking to ANI news agency, the Telangana Congress chief A Revanth Reddy said they have requested the EC to transfer the officials who show favouritism to the current dispensation to ensure free and fair elections.

He also alleged that the relatives of chief minister KCR have been given various duties even after their retirement to keep an eye on the opposition parties. In his complaint, Revanth Reddy also criticised a section of media associated with KCR for not not giving equal space to Congress on their platform.
