November Roundup: A Month Of Milestones, CM Jagan Gets Rousing Public Support

Vijayawada, Nov 30: The month of November witnessed a series of dynamic and strategic initiatives undertaken by the YSRCP Government, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Focused on fostering party rejuvenation, enhanced public outreach, and continuous welfare and development activities leading to the overall progress of AP, the following highlights encapsulate the multifaceted approach adopted by the government:

Samajika Sadhikara Yatra Garners Mass Support
Led by the party's senior-most BC, SC, ST and Minorities leaders, the 'Samajika Sadhikara' bus yatra, aimed at propagating the message of social and political empowerment of the marginalised by YSRCP got a huge thumbs up from the massive crowds that attended multiple public rallies in all three zones across the state. The objective of reaching out to diverse communities across the state to convey the positive impact of government initiatives taken over the last four-and-a-half years was done effectively. So far, 63 Assembly Constituencies have been covered in this campaign in two phases. The third phase is likely to begin on December 4.

Healthcare Proximity and Public Awareness Campaigns
Initiatives such as the Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha under which over 12,000 medical camps were conducted where free doctor consultation and medicines were given and the YSR Aarogyasri public awareness campaigns have both brought the administration closer to the people, showcasing the government's unwavering commitment to hassle-free public health policies. 

Leader Joinings
The overwhelming response to the bus yatras and campaigns like Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha underscored the YSRCP's popularity, leading to the entry of prominent leaders from other parties into the ruling party during this eventful month. 

Infrastructure Development and Industrial Advancements
CM Jagan inaugurated various development works worth Rs 64.54 crore, including police stations in YSR district. Notably, he launched the Rs 340.26 crore Varikapudisela Lift Irrigation Scheme, a project poised to transform the Palnadu area. In a significant boost to the power sector, the CM also inaugurated 12 APTRANSCO sub-stations and laid the foundation stone for two solar power projects of 850MW in Kadapa and Sri Satya Sai districts, along with 16 new sub-stations across the state, amounting to Rs 6600 crores

Strategic MoUs and Investments
The government signed MoUs with HPCL for setting up solar, wind, and PSP energy plants worth Rs. 10,000 crore, creating employment opportunities for 1,500 individuals. The CM laid the foundation stone for a multitude of food processing and industrial units worth Rs. 1100 crore, with an employment potential for 21,744 persons.

Aadudam Andhra: AP’s Biggest Ever Sports Extravaganza
The month also witnessed the registration launch for the Government-sponsored 'Aadudam Andhra' sports festival, a prestigious event where competitive matches would be played in 5 sports (cricket, badminton, volleyball, kho-kho and kabaddi) right from the GSWS level to the State level. The month also witnessed the unveiling of the campaign's mascot, reflecting the government's dedication to promoting sports and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation. 

Welfare Commitments and Owk Tunnel 2 Dedication
CM Jagan also released Rs 2204.77 crores towards YSR Rythu Bharosa, benefiting 53.53 lakh SC, ST, BC, and Minority farmers. Additionally, Rs 161.86 crore was sanctioned for fishermen displaced by ONGC pipelines, and Rs 81.64 crore was released towards YSR Kalyanamasthu and Shaadi Tohfa, benefiting 10,511 couples. The dedication of Owk Tunnel 2, an integral part of the Galeru-Nagari Sujala Sravanthi project, marked another significant milestone. CM also bestowed full ownership rights to the beneficiaries of assigned lands, village service Inam lands, and LPS (Land Purchase Scheme) lands and distributed 46,463 acres of assigned land to 42,307 poor people afresh and handed over lease deeds to 17,768 people allotting them 9,064 acres of riverside lands (Lanka bhoomulu).

Cabinet Approvals for Development and Welfare
The Cabinet ratified fresh investments worth Rs 19,037 crore. Approvals were granted for the establishment of a dialysis research center and a super specialty hospital attached to Markapuram Medical College. Additionally, vacancies in the Nephrology department, 3200 vacancies in Universities and IIITs, and Group I and Group II vacancies were addressed.

The Cabinet also approved the new land allotment policy for industries and proposals to set up special skill training centers in 6790 Government schools, allot house sites to working journalists, set up National Law University in Kurnool district, hike the DA by 3. 64% for government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, 2022, and allot 95% of the localised posts to locals.

High-profile Visitors and Engagements
November also saw a roster of high-profile visitors, including Pepper Motion CEO Andreas Hager, Consul General of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Chennai Kim Chang Nyun, Skater Greeshma Dontara, Representatives of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), leaders of journalist unions, and senior journalists. 

As we reflect on the achievements of November, the YSRCP Government remains steadfast in its commitment to the vision of inclusive development and welfare for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
