It's Advantage for YSRCP as TDP-JanaSena Struggle!

 - Sakshi Post

Amaravati:  Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) appears to be on a sticky wicket. The Assembly elections in the state are a few months away and the party leadership is trying to fix things superficially while the problem runs deeper at the booth level.

While the opposition party is in disarray at the local level due to infighting among party leaders, it's leader Naidu is busy meeting election strategists. Recently, Naidu, the ‘Chanakya’ of politics along with his son Nara Lokesh met the election strategist Prashant Kishor. The TDP leadership had criticised Kishor during the 2019 assembly elections.

The TDP cobbled up a political alliance with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party (JSP) while Naidu was lodged in Rajamahendravaram central prison in the multi-crore skill development scam case. The TDP leadership appears to have realised that the alliance was not going to benefit the party and hence, reaching out to the election campaign strategists. The opposition party has nothing concrete from its previous government to show it to the people and seek vote on it. The recent cases and the subsequent arrest of Naidu has dented the image of TDP further among the people of the state.

As per the alliance dharma, the TDP-JanaSena combine should work together for the upcoming assembly elections. However, the TDP leadership met Prashant Kishor to discuss the future election strategy without involving Pawan Kalayan in the talks.

After meeting Naidu and his son Lokesh at the former’s residence in Undavalli, Kishor pricked the bubble of speculation that he was going to mentor the TDP’s team of strategists. He said it was ‘just a courtesy meeting’. He added that there was nothing to read between the lines for the yellow media which is going overboard while reporting on his meeting with Naidu.

The TDP leadership has hired the services of election strategy firm ShowTime Consulting headed by Robbin Sharrma by spending crores of rupees. Later, the I-PAC, which is working in collaboration with YSRCP, issued a clarification and said, “we’re dedicated to working tirelessly until  @ysjagan secures a thumping victory again in 2024.”

The bottom line is TDP is aware that it’s going to win the ensuing elections even with the alliance of Jana Sena Party. The party is desperately seeking the help of Kishor who seems to be in no mood to provide his services to a party which has lost its base at the grassroots level. This shows the strength of YSR Congress party which is ready to storm to power with a landslide victory in the elections and retain its power in the state. This is also an X factor for the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
